Japan Drive Dojo (日本自駕道場) is a practice simulator for driving in Japan. Our principle is simple: we don't collect your personal data.

We don't collect personal data

• No sign-up or login, and no accounts.
• No ads, and no third-party analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs.
• The app never sends your data to our servers or anyone else's.

Data that stays on your device

To remember your settings and progress, the following is stored only on your device:

• Settings (graphics, volume, steering sensitivity, how you hold the phone, language, and so on)
• Grades, stars, best times and progress for each level
• The name or nickname you type on a certificate (optional)
• Whether you have unlocked the full version

This data is deleted when you delete the app. You can also reset your progress in the game's Settings.

Backups

The app keeps a copy of your progress in its own folder so it isn't lost by accident. This file may be included in your iPhone/iCloud device backup, which Apple handles and we can't access. We don't run any cloud servers of our own.

In-app purchase

The app is free to download. "Unlock Full Version" is a one-time in-app purchase. Apple processes payment, receipts and refunds; we never receive your name, payment details or Apple ID. When you buy, restore or the app checks your purchase, it asks the App Store through iOS StoreKit. The app only remembers "unlocked" on your phone.

Tilt to steer (motion sensor)

Only when you turn on Tilt to steer does the app read your phone's tilt to turn the wheel. This is processed in real time on the device and is never stored or uploaded.

Coach voice

The coach voice uses your device's built-in text-to-speech. The app doesn't record audio or use the microphone.

Certificate image

The certificate image is created on your device. It is handed to the system share sheet only when you tap Share or Save, and you decide where it goes. The app never reads other photos in your library.

Offline use

The app's code and fonts are built in, so it works without a connection. The only time it goes online is to buy, restore or check your purchase, through iOS and Apple's App Store. The app never connects to our servers or other third parties.

Children

The app is made for adult drivers preparing to drive in Japan. It isn't designed for children and doesn't collect anyone's personal data.

When you email us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to include. We use them only to reply to you.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
